Privacy Policy

Tutor is built by Cervoo Inc. with a simple idea: your practice data should stay yours. We built the app so everything is saved on your phone — not uploaded to our servers.
This page explains what data the app creates, where it's stored, and what choices you have.
The simple version
- Your practice data stays on your phone by default
- You don't need an account to use Tutor — we don't have your email or name
- We don't track what you do in the app
- We don't show ads
- We never sell your data
- If you turn on iCloud sync, your data goes to your personal Apple account — not to us
What's saved on your phone
When you use Tutor, the app saves information on your iPhone or iPad:
- Practice history: Which questions you answered, when, and whether you got them right
- Skill progress: How you're doing on different math topics over time
- Diagnostic results: Your starting skill level from the initial quiz
- Settings: Your target score, test date, and preferences
- Streak info: How many days in a row you've practiced
This information stays on your phone unless you turn on iCloud sync.
iCloud sync (optional)
If you want your progress on multiple devices (like your iPhone and iPad), you can turn on iCloud sync in the app settings. When you do:
- Your data is saved to your personal iCloud account through Apple
- We don't see or have access to this data — it's between you and Apple
- You can turn off sync anytime and delete the data from iCloud
When we might hear from you
The only time we get information from you is if you email us:
- Support emails: If you write to hello@tutor.studio, we get your email address and whatever you tell us
- Screenshots or details: If you send info to help us fix a problem
We only use this to help you and make the app better. We don't add you to marketing lists or share your info with anyone.
What we don't do
- No tracking: We don't watch what you do in the app or on other websites
- No ads: We don't show advertisements
- No selling data: We don't sell or share your information
- No profiles: We don't build a profile about you based on your behavior
How long is data kept?
Data on your phone: Stays until you delete the app or use the “Reset Data” button in Settings.
iCloud data: Stays as long as you have sync turned on. You can delete it by turning off sync or in your iCloud settings.
Support emails: We keep them as long as we need to help you, then delete them. Ask us anytime to delete your emails.
Your choices
- Keep everything on your phone: Don't turn on iCloud sync and your data never leaves your device
- Sync between devices: Turn on iCloud sync in Settings
- Start over: Use “Reset Data” in Settings to erase your progress
- Delete support emails: Email us and we'll remove any messages you've sent
Security
Your phone already protects the data on it with encryption and security features. iCloud data is protected by Apple's security. We designed Tutor so we handle as little of your information as possible — that's the best way to keep it safe.
For younger students
Tutor is made for high school students preparing for the SAT. We don't collect personal information from children under 13. Since we don't collect personal information from anyone by default, this happens automatically.
If you think a child under 13 sent us personal information in an email, let us know and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. Since we don't have your email, we can't notify you directly — so check back occasionally if you want to stay updated.
